The risk of severe COVID -19 increases with age and weight, is higher in men, and may be increased due to deterioration of health resulting from the existing comorbidities.
Researchers from the Medical University of Bialystok, on the basis of medical data collected from over a thousand Polish patients, have developed a simple tool that allows everyone to compare the level of their risk of severe COVID -19 in comparison to a 20-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man with normal body weight.
The online calculator is below the article.
The results presented by the calculator are for educational purposes only and do not replace a medical consultation or constitute the basis for making clinical decisions. The system does not save the entered data.
